Course ends at pool
The Beacon Recreation Department is sponsoring a “cannonball run” through the University Settlement property on Saturday, July 8. Choose a 5-kilometer or mile-long course; both end with a jump into the Beacon Pool. A donation of $20 for the 5K and $5 for the mile is suggested to benefit the Beacon Rec tuition assistance program. Cash and exact change are appreciated. See facebook.com.
