Sixth annual contest for grades K-12

Teaching the Hudson Valley, a project of the National Park Service, is holding its sixth annual Writing About Place contest for students in grades kindergarten to 12. Students from 11 counties, including Putnam and Dutchess, are eligible to submit writing from the summer or fall of 2017. The deadline is Nov. 10.

Submissions should be about a public space that has cultural, historic or natural significance and is owned or managed by a non-profit organization or the government. For details, see teachingthehudsonvalley.org.
