A number of streets in Cold Spring will be closed to vehicles except those belonging to residents from about 3:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31, for the safety of Halloween trick or treaters, according to the Cold Spring Police Department.
The streets are:
Pine Street from Paulding Avenue to Parsonage Street
Bank Street from West Bank Street to Parsonage
Maple Terrace will be closed at Parsonage
All of Parrott Street
Officers will be on foot patrol and will hand out glow bracelets courtesy of the Cold Spring Police Benevolent Association. Parents are reminded to ensure sure that their children carry a light and that costumes do not cover the eyes.
What about those young trick-or-treaters going to Spookytown at Chestnut Ridge from 5:30 – 7 p.m., from Putnam History Museum to 9D?
