Betty Valenti
Elizabeth “Betty” Valenti, 82, a longtime resident of Cold Spring, died Nov. 11, 2017.
Born in Yonkers on Sept. 23, 1935, she was the daughter of John Francis and Elizabeth Catherine (Wagner) Nolan. On May 12, 1957, she married Mario Valenti. He died in 2005.
Betty worked as an assistant for the Haldane Central School District for many years and also for her son’s business, Valenti Concrete in Cold Spring.
She is survived by her son John Valenti (Cathy) of Cold Spring; her grandchildren, Jessica Valenti and John Valenti (Heather); her great-grandson, John Valenti III; her son William Valenti (Diane) of Wappingers Falls and her grandchildren Nichole, Mario and Sabrina Valenti.
In addition, she is survived by a sister, Joan Odell, and her family, of Yorktown Heights; and a brother, John Nolan (Karen) of California.
Visitation will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. on Nov. 15 at Clinton Funeral Home, 21 Parrott St., in Cold Spring, with a funeral service there at 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 16. Interment will follow at Cold Spring Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Philipstown Volunteer Ambulance Corps, 14 Cedar St., Cold Spring, NY 10516.
