Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 5, for voters to consider whether the Beacon City School District should spend $9 million on capital improvements.

Polls are located at Beacon High School and Glenham Elementary School.

The district says the project will not require additional taxes. It plans to pay for the improvements with $7.6 million in bonds, $1 million from its capital reserve funds and $342,002 in Expanding our Children’s Education and Learning (EXCEL) funds. About two-thirds of the cost is reimbursable through state aid.
