Water boil order lifted as of 5:39 p.m. on Jan. 6

At 5:39 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 6, Cold Spring Water Superintendent Greg Phillips received word from Envirotest Laboratories that samples taken in the area affected by the recent water main breaks were negative for Total Coliform Bacteria. After speaking with Vincent Perrin at the Putnam County Health Department, it was determined that the Boil Water Advisory could be lifted, effective immediately.

Following an emergency main repair on Jan. 3, residents on Kemble Avenue, Rock Street, The Boulevard, Constitution Drive and Forge Gate Drive were instructed to bring boil their tap water or use bottled water for drinking, making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth or preparing food.
