The Garrison Children’s Education Fund which supports learning for students in the Garrison Union Free School District, raised more than $14,000 during its fall fundraising drive. The money will be distributed for spring programs, including two-day workshops with the Garrison Arts Center for all grades, a sail aboard the sloop Clearwater for fifth-grade students, and transportation to the New York Museum of Science for grades 3 to 5.

The fund also announced a new campaign to purchase new equipment for a community playground for ages 5 to 15 adjacent to the outdoor pavilion. It has pledged $25,000 toward the $50,000 cost but is raising the remaining $25,000. See gcef.net.
