Helen Ann Dye

Helen Ann Dye, 96, a lifelong Cold Spring resident, died March 20, 2018, at NewYork Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital in Cortlandt Manor with her family at her side.

Helen was a branch manager for the Fishkill National Bank and is well remembered for her 25 years as head waiter at Gus’s Antique Restaurant & Bar when it was located at the Cold Spring waterfront.

Born in Cold Spring on Nov. 20, 1921, she was the daughter of Walter and Anna (Ryan) Atkinson. She married Joseph Dye.

She is survived by two sons, Jack Allen (Louise) and Gordon Allen (Barbara), both of Cold Spring; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial was offered March 26 at Our Lady of Loretto, followed by interment at Cold Spring Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the church.
