Bruce Broderick (1951-2018)

Bruce M. Broderick, 66, of Cold Spring died April 18, 2018, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie.

Born in the Bronx on June 13, 1951, to Clyde Jr. and Marianne (Glattes) Broderick, Bruce was a Seaman Petty Officer 3rd Class in the U.S. Coast Guard, stationed in Juno, Alaska, until his retirement.

He is survived by a brother, Neil Broderick, and a sister, Jeanine Stark. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Father Raymond Luis (1976-2018)

Father Raymond R. Luis, 41, a Franciscan Friar of the Atonement at Graymoor, died April 17, 2018, at Rosary Hill Home in Hawthorne.

Father Luis was born Oct. 14, 1976, in Pamplona, Cagayan, Philippines, the son of Vicente and Patricia (Rodrigues) Luis. He attended elementary and high school in Pamplona, graduating from the Pamplona Institute in 1993. He attended the Christ the King Mission Seminary in Quezon City, Philippines and graduated in 1997 with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy. He earned his Master of Divinity degree in 2007 from Regis College in Toronto.

He entered the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement in 2001, received the habit in 2002 and was ordained in 2009 at Graymoor and appointed as vocation coordinator in Yokohama, Japan. After three years, he returned to North America and was assigned to Richmond, British Columbia and in 2017 to Toronto. Due to failing health, he returned to Garrison in November. He moved to the Rosary Hill Home in January.

He is survived by his mother and a sister, Josefina Cariaga, both of whom reside in the Philippines.

Tullio Muscariello (1930-2018)

Tullio N. Muscariello, 88, of White Plains, died April 20, 2018. Among his survivors is his son, Paul Muscariello, of Garrison.

Tullio was born in the Bronx on March 3, 1930, to Nicholas and Marianna (Frezzolini) Muscariello. He married Rose Russo, who died in 2002.

Besides his son, he is survived by his four daughters: Stephanie Taylor of Corona, California; Lorraine Redlich of Daphne, Alabama; Anna DeLuca of White Plains; and Claudia Rinaldi of North Salem, as well as nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 24, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hawthorne Funeral Home, 21 W. Stevens Ave., in Hawthorne, followed by a funeral mass on April 25 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Elmsford and entombment at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum in Hawthorne.
