Students in grades 5-12 invited to respond

As part of National Poetry Month, students in grades 5 to 12 are invited to write letters in response to poems written and read by some of the award-winning poets who serve on the Academy of American Poets Board of Chancellors.

To take part, watch the videos of chancellors reading and discussing one of their poems. Then write one of them a letter in response and email it to [email protected] by April 30. Include your name and the name of the poet to whom you’ve written. All letters will be considered for posting on poets.org and the chancellors will reply to select letters of their choosing.
