Talk at museum on influences

Preston Pittman will speak at 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, at the Putnam History Museum in Cold Spring on the historical antecedents of Hello, Dolly!, which was filmed in part in Garrison and elsewhere in Philipstown. Pittman will trace the story to ancient Greek and Roman tales.

The talk is free for members and $10 otherwise. Call 845-265-4010 to reserve a seat. An exhibit on the film opened at the museum on May 13.
