Fishkill to honor female heroes

The second annual Heroes of Fishkill Day on Saturday, May 26, will honor women who made contributions to the Revolutionary War.

There are 57 women buried at Rombout Rural Cemetery on Route 52 in Fishkill, a site that was used to treat injured soldiers, who will be recognized. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., there will be reenactments, talks, tours of the cemetery and a wreath-placing ceremony. See fishkillsupplydepot.org.
