Putnam Valley will mark with music, film

The opening day for the Putnmam Valley Farmers’ Market at Tompkins Corners Cultural Center will be Friday, June 29.

The market opens at 3 p.m. and live music begins at 4 p.m. The market will close at 6:30 p.m.

At 7:30 p.m. there will be a screening of 50 Miles from Times Square, a documentary by John Cohen that looks at Putnam County, Putnam Valley and Tompkins Corners as they appeared 40 years ago.

The market is located at 729 Peekskill Hollow Road. The events will take place rain or shine.
