Concert by Beacon resident

The David Amram Quintet will perform at the Tompkins Corners Cultural Center in Putnam Valley at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 5. The 87-year-old composer and instrumentalist, who lives in Beacon, will be joined by Kevin Twigg on drums, Rene Hart on bass, and Adam Amram and Elliot Peper on percussion.

Tickets start at $20 and children ages 12 and younger are admitted free.
