Museum to host talk on early leaders

Historian Leon DiMartino will talk at the Putnam History Museum in Cold Spring at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18, about the four Dutch governors of the New Netherlands (later New York).

He’ll cover how Peter Minuit, Woulter Van Twiller, Wilhelm Kieft and Peter Stuyvesant organized and ran the colony the English would later take over. Admission is free for members and $10 otherwise.
