Select incidents from Sept. 15 to 27

Beacon officers handled 501 calls, including 14 auto crashes and 10 domestic disputes.

Saturday, Sept. 15

Officers investigated a report of a gunshot near Ralph and Cross streets at about 6:10 a.m. There is evidence that multiple gunshots were fired, but no one was injured. Anyone with information is asked to call the department at 845-831-4111.

After a report of a fight on Schenck Avenue, Fatimah S. Ahmad, 28, of Beacon, was charged with assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

A caller on Red Flynn Drive reported a piece of audio equipment that fell from a transportation cart was taken by an unknown individual. Investigation conducted.

Sunday, Sept. 16

At about 9 p.m., the Dutchess County 911 requested state Forest Rangers to help four female hikers who had become lost after dark on Mount Beacon. Without food, water or flashlights, and with cell phones losing power, the group was instructed to stay at their location and wait for the rangers. The officers found the group by 12:30 a.m. and escorted them back to their camp by 3 a.m.

After a traffic stop on Route 9D, Austin M. Dunn, 24, of Middletown, was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence.

Wednesday, Sept. 19

Maria I. Valentin, 43, of Beacon, was picked up on a warrant.

A caller on Main Street reported two male subjects were trying to gain access into her home by pushing in an air conditioner.

A caller on Lafayette Avenue reported his dog was attacked by another dog.

Tyler P. VanAnden of Fishkill was picked up on a warrant.

Thursday, Sept. 20

After a traffic stop on Main Street, Heiddy M. Figueroa, 21, of Poughkeepsie, was charged with possession of marijuana and operation of vehicle by unlicensed driver.

Friday, Sept. 21

Jessica L. Schneider, 34, of Wappingers Falls was picked up on a warrant.

After a report from Pocket Road, Ruben, Herrera, 18, of Beacon, and a 16-year-old male from Beacon were charged with robbery. Herrera was also charged with criminal mischief.

Caller on North Elm Street called with a complaint about her neighbor’s dog.

Sunday, Sept. 23

Caller on Falconer Street reported fraudulent activity on credit cards

Monday, Sept. 24

Caller on Main Street reported being harassed by landlord.

Caller on Main Street reported video of individual damaging his property.

Caller on Red Flynn Drive reported dogs being attacked by another dog.

Tuesday, Sept. 25

After a report of trespass at Tompkins Terrace, a 16-year-old from Beacon was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and possession of marijuana.

Wednesday, Sept. 26

Ivan Andres Medina, 24, of Beacon was picked up for warrant from the Town of Fishkill.

Caller on Iris Circle reported a fraudulent check sent to his residence.
