BREAST CANCER WALK — On a windy Sunday (Oct. 21), nearly 100 people circled the Haldane School track in Cold Spring to raise money for breast cancer research. Ashley Haines, a Haldane High School student who organized the second annual event, said it raised more than $8,000 for breastcancer.org, a nonprofit that educates people about breast cancer risk, screening and testing. Haines thanked the event’s sponsors, volunteers and Haldane High School, as well as the walkers. To donate, see csbcwalk.weebly.com. (Photos provided)
