Rebecca Deneu (1963-2018)

Rebecca Deneu, 55, a lifelong Beacon resident, died Dec. 13, 2018, at the Kaplan Hospice Home in Newburgh.

She was born in Beacon on June 6, 1963, the daughter of William and Gladys Miriam (Montroy) Pendleton.

Rebecca worked as a retail clerk, including for more than 20 years at Chico’s in Fishkill, where she was assistant store manager up until her retirement. She enjoyed hiking and crafts, including crocheting. She loved cats.

She is survived by her sister, Rose Ann Quirk (Dennis) of Beacon; her brother William Pendleton of Fort Plains, New York; and her nephews: Dennis Quirk Jr. (Shay) and James Quirk.

Family & friends will gather on Wednesday, Dec. 19 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Libby Funeral Home, 55 Teller Ave., in Beacon. A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 20 at the First Presbyterian Church, 50 Liberty St., in Beacon. Interment will be private.

Carolyn Rodino

Carolyn Rodino (1940-2018)

Carolyn Marie Rodino, 77, of Lake Worth, Florida, and formerly of Beacon, died Nov. 28, 2018.

Born in New York City on Dec. 11, 1940, she moved with her family to Beacon when she was 12.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis Rodino, her daughter, Barbara and son Richard, and a grandson, Michael.

A funeral service was held on Dec. 1 at Dorsey E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens in Lake Worth. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org).
