Raymond Fantauzzi (1988-2019)

Raymond Patrick Fantauzzi, 30, a lifelong resident of Beacon and Wappingers Falls, died suddenly on Feb. 4, 2019.

He was born Dec. 19, 1988, at Vassar Hospital in Poughkeepsie, the son of Raymond and Kathleen (McCandless) Fantauzzi. A graduate of Beacon High School, he was employed for the past eight years as a welder for Dairy Conveyor in Brewster.

Raymond enjoyed the simple things in life. He was an avid gamer and loved collecting vinyl records. He also enjoyed listening to Frank Sinatra and loved watching sports. His teams were the Jets and the Mets.

Along with his parents, he is survived by a brother, Clayton Aloi and a sister, Samantha Fantauzzi. He also is survived by his aunts and uncles: Cici Hodor, Bob Hodor, Gary Freudenberg (Cindy); Pat McCandless (Caroline) and Ray Martinez (Nancy).

The family will receive friends on Friday, Feb. 8 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Libby Funeral Home, 55 Teller Ave., in Beacon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9 at St. John the Evangelist Church, 31 Willow St., Beacon, followed by interment at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.

John Johnson (1945-2019)

John Johnson, 73, of Glenham, and formerly of Beacon, died Feb. 2, 2019.

Born Dec. 6, 1945, in Beacon, he was the son of John and Elizabeth (Dawkins) Johnson. A graduate of Beacon High School, he attended Central Connecticut University and the New York Institute of Technology, where he earned an MBA.

John was employed at Lakeside Family Services in Central Valley as director of human resources. His hobbies included working out at All-Sport in Fishkill and driving his BMW.

John is survived by his twin sons, John Johnson and Daniel Johnson, and two sisters, Betty Johnson and Nancy Johnson.

Calling hours will be Thursday, Feb. 7, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, 895 Route 82, in Hopewell Junction and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 8, at the Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church, 139 Main St., in Beacon. A funeral service will be held at the church at 11 a.m., followed by interment at Fishkill Rural Cemetery

Calvin Tomlins

Calvin Tomlins (1958-2019)

Calvin James Tomlins, 61, a Beacon native and 30-year resident of Norfolk, Virginia, died on his birthday, Feb. 1, 2019.

Born in Beacon in 1958, he was the son of Harold and Anna (Partivich) Tomlins. Of his 14 siblings, he is survived by four sisters and four brothers.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Feb. 6, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Libby Funeral Home, 55 Teller Ave., in Beacon, with a memorial service scheduled for 8 p.m.
