Millicentrae Yates, 87, died June 23, 2019, at her home near Tampa Bay, Florida.

She was born in the Bronx in 1932 to William and Mary Katherine (Lucas) Meissner and grew up there. She graduated from Hunter College in 1971 as valedictorian of her class.

While at Hunter, Millicent married Fred Yates, of Bolckow, Missouri. After college, the couple moved to Garrison, commuting from there to work in New York City. Millicent was an executive recruiter and Fred was an accountant and treasurer of a holding firm. They resided in Garrison with their son, Pete, until 1991, when they retired to Florida.

Besides her son, Millicentrae is survived by a daughter, Allyson Schweitzer, a daughter-in-law, Sherri, a grandson Noah, a step-grandson, William Schweitzer Jr. (Lisa), and a step-granddaughter, Natasha.
