Roy Bohack (1955-2019)

Roy Bohack, 64, of Beacon, died at home on Oct. 10, 2019.

He was born in Yonkers on Jan. 21, 1955, the son of Vincent and Agnes (O’Toole) Bohack. He moved to Beacon from Hastings 15 years ago.

Roy was a court officer in state courts, working in White Plains before his transfer to Poughkeepsie in 2010. He liked to ride his Harley and loved boating.

He is survived by a brother, Robert Bohack (Rose Ann) of Poughkeepsie, his nephews Michael Bohack (Kara) of Little River, South Carolina, and Richard Bohack (girlfriend Ami Scibner) of Poughkeepsie; and three great-grandchildren, Kyle, Raegan and Jake.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 15, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., in Poughkeepsie. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, Oct. 16, at 11 a.m. at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale.

Mary Natali

Mary Natoli (1944-2019)

Mary Arlene Natoli, 75, a longtime Fishkill resident who for 10 years operated Natoli’s Deli in Beacon with her husband, died at home Oct. 7, 2019, surrounded by her family.

Mary was born June 2, 1944, in the Bronx, the third of seven children of Edward and Agnes McKee. Mary graduated from Cathedral High School in 1962 and, upon graduating, worked at a bank. Her best friend, Barbara Faticone, set her up on a blind date with Larry Natoli at the old Moog’s Farm in Fishkill. They were married for 51 years before his death in July.

Mary resided in Fishkill for more than 50 years. She loved Mickey Mouse and visited Disney at least once a year with her grandchildren. She also said she loved to watch her grandchildren play sports and dance and attended many dance recitals and baseball, soccer, field hockey and softball games over the years.

After the sale of Natoli’s Deli, Mary worked part-time at Hometown Deli in Fishkill. She loved the Jersey shore and the Seaside boardwalk and traveled all over the world (Egypt being a favorite) and took annual trips in January to Aruba.

She is survived by her three children: John Natoli (Cheryl); Danielle Oliva (John) Oliva, and their children, Alexis, Vincent, Taylor and Adriana; and Stephanie Potes (Dr. Jason) and their children, Logan, Lachlan, Miles and Chloe. She also is survived by her siblings, Anne Kerrigan, Lorraine Martin, Edward McKee, Veronica Eberz and Kevin McKee.

A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Oct. 11 at St. Mary Mother of the Church in Fishkill, followed by a private interment.

Anna Maria Sokol

Anna Marie Sokol (1954-2019)

Anna Marie Sokol, 65, died Sept. 27, 2019.

Born Aug. 14, 1954 in Beacon, she was the daughter of John and Mary (Carbonaro) Tarquini. She graduated from Beacon High School and Mount St. Mary College in Newburgh. In 2008, she moved to Seneca, South Carolina, where she was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. She was formerly employed at IBM in East Fishkill and most recently at Ingles in Seneca.

On June 14, 1980, in Beacon, she married Joseph Sokol, who died in 2014.

She is survived by her sons, John Sokol (Samantha) of Hurley and Petty Officer Second Class James D. Sokol (Michelle Alvarez) of Charleston, South Carolina, and two grandchildren, John Joseph of Hurley and Sybil of Charleston. She also is survived by a twin sister, Frances Nemec (Thomas) of Wappingers Falls; a brother, Donald Tarquini (Patricia) of Wappinger Falls; and a stepdaughter, Robin Will (Ben) of Highland.

She was interred the Oconee Memorial Park in Seneca.
