Entergy announced it will conduct security drills at its Indian Point Energy Center in Buchanan during the evening of Tuesday, Oct. 15, using “laser engagement system” weapons that simulate the sound of gunfire.

The company said local law enforcement agencies have been notified and that anyone who hears what sounds like gunfire near Indian Point during the training should not be alarmed.
