Charging Station Opens in Beacon

Soon there will be three

A new electric car charging station has been activated at 13 South Ave., near the Beacon Visitor Center. Usage is $1.25 per hour.

The first electric charging station in Beacon, a Dutchess County-owned facility at the county parking lot on Main Street, is active, as well. A second city-owned station is expected to be active at City Hall in two weeks, city officials said.
