Looking for projects in and near Beacon

The Clara Lou Gould Fund for the Arts has set a Nov. 15 deadline for applications from projects not generally supported by other area arts organizations, including individual artist projects; exhibition, performance or public art projects; arts education programs; community projects that promote area artists; and arts activities and that draw attention to the role of arts and culture in the community.

BeaconArts created the fund and named it for Gould, who served as Beacon’s mayor for 18 years, in recognition of her support of arts and culture in the city. Because Gould was born and raised in Cold Spring but spent most of her adult life in Beacon, the fund is designed to support arts and cultural projects and activities in the greater Beacon community, including projects initiated outside the city, the group said.

Projects supported by the fund must take place between Dec. 1 and Nov. 30, 2021. Applicants must be a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization or be fiscally sponsored by one. For information and an application, see beaconarts.org.
