Commuter railroad has 100,000 daily passengers

On a day last month, Metro-North Railroad carried the most passengers since before the pandemic shutdown began in March 2020.

On Sept. 21, Metro-North had 123,900 passengers, which was still 50 percent below the same week in 2019. The agency said it plans to continue to discount its rush-hour fares until at least the end of the year.
