Christine Giuliani (1951-2023)

Christine Susan Giuliani, 71, died March 29.

She was born in Yonkers on April 26, 1951, the only daughter of Alfred and Barbara (Irving) Diorio, and a sister to five brothers. Christine married Ilvo (John) Giuliani on Nov. 28, 1976, and they raised their family in the Peekskill and Garrison areas.

Christine loved music, especially jazz and the blues. Rock ’n’ roll was her favorite music to listen to and play on the piano and guitar. An avid reader, she always had a thirst for knowledge and never stopped learning. She loved Colonial and Victorian architecture and had a flair for interior design. She could transform any living room into a scene from a Charles Dickens story, as Christmas was her favorite time of year, her family said.

Christine will always be remembered for her drive to learn and to “do the right thing,” her family said. She enjoyed the company of her friends and family and will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved her.

Along with her husband of 46 years, she is survived by her son, Christopher Giuliani (Lisa) and grandsons, Luca Giuliani and Christopher Giuliani.

She will also be lovingly remembered by her brothers and their families.

A Mass of Christian Burial was offered April 5 at the Church of the Assumption in Peekskill, followed by interment at Hillside Cemetery in Cortlandt Manor.
