Haldane football players receive helmet cushions

The Haldane Football Association recently organized a raffle to raise money to purchase Guardian Caps, which provide additional cushioning to prevent head trauma.

Chuck and Stacey Twoguns, shown with Ryan Cavallaro, a sophomore who sold them a ticket, won a vehicle detailing donated by Legendary Detailing of Cold Spring. The raffle raised $4,600, enough to purchase 50 caps to outfit the middle school and high school teams, such as one worn during practice by senior Brody Corless.
