The Hudson Valley Renegades, the Yankees’ minor-league team that plays at Heritage Financial Park (Dutchess Stadium), lost the third and deciding game of the South Atlantic League championship series on Wednesday (Sept. 18) to the Bowling Green Hot Rods, 4-1.

The team reached the series by defeating Greensboro in three games to win the North Division. They lost the first game of the title series, 5-1, but defeated Bowling Green, 6-2, in Game 2 behind a grand slam from Omar Martinez in the fifth inning.

The Renegades had a franchise record 73 wins and the best home record (47-19) in the minors.
