Contest for students in grades K-12

The Dutchess County Division of Solid Waste Management has launched its first America Recycles Day Art Challenge.

To participate, students must register by Oct. 18 and submit artwork by Nov. 8. The art must be created with used materials that can be recycled, such as paper, aluminum, plastic and glass. It can be two- or three-dimensional, and non-recyclable materials, such as glue and tape, can be used.

The artwork will be judged on clarity, description and creativity and divided into age groups two elementary categories, middle school and high school. For more information, see bit.ly/dutchess-recycle-art.

The winning pieces will be revealed on Nov. 15 and displayed at the FDR Presidential Library & Museum in Hyde Park and during County Executive Sue Serino’s 2025 State of the County Address.
