Washington, D.C., Develop marketing plans, budgets and campaigns for new and existing product lines. Coordinate with administrators, physicians and staff on business/marketing plans and produce marketing materials , advertisement, and publicity. Oversee GW Physician Referral Services. Participate in community health programs through coordination of program promotion and production of hospital materials. Lead coordination of all hospital sponsorships.
Integrate the hospital website and social media pages into all marketing and public relations activities. Oversee social media content. Provides communication counsel to senior leadership and department directors. Develops key messages and strategies for use with internal and/or external audiences. Reinforces the hospital’s mission, vision, and tagline in day-to-day communications with physicians, employees and other GW stakeholders.
Lead hospital media relations, serving as a liaison between The George Washington University Hospital and the media. Supervise media relations including preparation and dissemination of information regarding the hospital to print, radio and television and other forms of media. 24/7 responsibility. Bachelor’s Degree
Master’s Degree preferred
5-7 years of experience in marketing, public relations, communications or related field
Healthcare experience strongly preferred
Previous experience working with traditional and non-traditional media outlets
Writing experience required
Ability to interact at all levels, including physicians, required.


Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Demonstrated ability to define marketing strategy and develop comprehensive plans to strategically and financially position a hospital in the marketplace
Knowledge of brand management
