Give at your favorite pub or restaurant

Seven Cold Spring restaurants are going at it tooth and nail in a friendly contest to see who can collect the most toys for kids at Christmas. The contest is part of the annual Toys for Tots program organized by the US Marine Corps Reserve. Participating pubs and restaurants are collecting new, unwrapped toys until Dec. 20. Toys go to needy families in Putnam County. Organizers remind donors that teens should not be forgotten and that gift cards are acceptable as gifts. The restaurant that gathers the most toys will welcome 3 representatives from each of the 6 other competing establishments, each of whom will have the privilege of buying dinner and drinks at the winning restaurant. Please give generously.
