Over 60 companies to participate

Rep. Nan Hayworth, the Republican who represents Philipstown in the U.S. House of Representatives, Wednesday announced a free, public job fair for Monday, March 26, to help her 19th N.Y. Congressional District constituents find work. Featuring more than 60 employers, the fair is scheduled to run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Anthony’s Pier 9 in New Windsor. According to Hayworth’s office, the participating employers collectively seek new personnel in a range of fields, including health care, manufacturing, technology, the financial sector, and retail. In organizing the event, Hayworth also teamed up with the Orange and Dutchess Counties Chambers of Commerce and various employment assistance organizations to provide career counseling and advice through workshops and informational seminars, on such topics as interviewing skills, resume writing, networking and job searching.

Registration for job seekers begins at 9 a.m. and the group seminars begin at 10 a.m. Hayworth is slated to deliver opening remarks at the job fair at approximately 9:30 a.m. Additional information can be found on her Congressional website.  Her office also provided a list of the participating employers and organizations, as of Wednesday afternoon.
