District hopes to sell tanker apparatus

A referendum will be considered at a special election for voters in the Philipstown North Highland Fire District from 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 15 at the firehouse. The district needs authorization from voters to sell a 1999 Mack/Mathor tanker apparatus, which has been replaced by a 2015 Sutphen/Kenworth tanker apparatus. A referendum is required when the sale of equipment is expected to exceed $50,000. Registered voters who have lived in the district for at least 30 days are eligible to vote.
