Talk on Martha Washington on March 19
The Washington’s Headquarters State Historic Site in Newburgh will host a talk at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 19, on “the general’s lady,” Martha Washington, as part of Women’s History Month. The presentation will be given by Lavada Nahon, author of Bringing the Taste of History to Life.
The 2017 Martha Washington Woman of History Award also will be presented to Mary Ellen Matise, historian for the Village of Walden.
