The Garrison Art Center will host a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 12, for its exhibit The Other Side of Things: Women in Abstraction. Curated by Petra Nimitz, the show includes paintings, drawings and sculpture by six artists: Diane Dwyer, Meg Lipke, Fran O’Neill, Christina Tenaglia, Julie Torres and Sabine Tress.
