Arrested after investigators received tips

New York State troopers arrested a Beacon man on Wednesday, Sept. 19, on allegations he possessed child pornography.

Alfred Tchorznicki Jr., 51, was charged with possessing a sexual performance by a child, a class E felony, according to the state police.

On Sept. 17, the state Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force forwarded tips to investigators at the Wappinger barracks of the state police regarding possible child porn. After an investigation, troopers arrested Tchorznicki.

Tchorznicki was arraigned before the City of Beacon Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond. He is scheduled to return to court on Sept. 24.
