Highway departments to pick up holiday debris
The Village of Cold Spring Highway Department will pick up discarded Christmas trees and other yard debris to be mulched on Wednesdays until the snow begins. Remove all decorations, lights and tinsel and place the tree and other debris at curbside on Tuesday evenings after 4 p.m.
In Beacon, the highway department will pick up Christmas trees at curbside through January. Trees should be free of ornaments and not placed in plastic bags.
