Got an elderly friend who thinks a “mouse” is a creature in the pantry and a “byte” what it leaves in the cheese? Would your grandfather like to keep in touch with his distant buddies but fear he’s too old to learn e-mail? Then pass it along: The Putnam County Office of Aging is offering courses to help senior citizens maneuver around the computer.
The classes will take place the William Koehler Senior Center, Route 6, Mahopac, and the Putnam Valley Senior Center, 117 Town Park Lane, Putnam Valley. Options include sessions on the Beginner’s Computer, Internet, Word, Photoshop, Genealogy, and more. The office also plans to announce some free workshops soon.
For information, contact Cathy O’Brien at (845) 628-6423; send an e-mail to her at [email protected] or visit the Office of Aging website at www.putnamrsvp.com/clc.
