Holiday sale continues.

Story and photos by Alison Rooney

The Program Room downstairs at Garrison’s Desmond-Fish Library takes on that rosy glow of the holiday season as tables laden with (largely) hand-made goodies perfect for the colder weather beckon. Knitted scarves, jewelry, tea cozies, toys, ceramics and delicious desserts are some of the temptations.  If you happen to enter intending to purchase for others but wind up spending on yourself, you can feel better knowing that a percentage of the profits goes to support the Library, in particular the children’s programming.

The holiday sale, which began just after Thanksgiving, continues through this Sunday, Dec. 12.  Sale hours this week are Thursday, 2-9 p.m.; Friday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Sunday, 1-5 p.m.  For more information visit http://dfl.highlands.com/ call 845-424-3020.
