Greenway and Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area will hold  joint meeting

The Hudson River Valley Greenway and Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area will hold a joint meeting of their boards on Thursday, Jan. 20, at 9:30 a.m., at the FDR Presidential Library,.Hyde Park. The meeting will feature a presentation by OurHudson, a campaign to support the Hudson-Fulton-Champlain Quadricentennial Commission. The commission’s goal is to advance a vision and agenda for the Hudson Valley. The campaign began with “Listening Tour” workshops in Troy, Hudson, Kingston, Newburgh, Yonkers, and Manhattan last year. Following the workshops, task forces were formed to study the issues and draft agendas. Joan K. Davidson, former chair of the Quadricentennial Commission; Kent Barwick, chair of the OurHudson Advisory Board; and Clay Hiles, executive director of the Hudson River Foundation, will discuss the next steps in the campaign, including an anticipated 2011 barge tour and film.

The meeting will also feature, Greenway Communities and Quadricentennial Legacy grant awards. The meeting will be held at the Henry A. Wallace Center at the FDR Presidential Library and Museum, 4079 Albany Post Rd., in Hyde Park.
