Tom Todoroff

For over 30 years, Cold Spring Resident Tom Todoroff has coached actors, directors, writers, artists, students and professionals of all kinds.  Todoroff has studios dedicated to this training in ten cities and five countries. This Thursday night from 7:30 – 9:30 p.m. he will direct an open class for the New York theater and film community, hosted by the Drama Book Shop (250 West 40th St., N.Y.C.) Attendees are invited to come prepared with a one-to-two minute monologue or brief audition material.  Selected audience members will perform and receive personalized coaching from Tom in front of the group.  Observers are also warmly welcomed.

Todoroff currently offers a weekly class every Monday night in Manhattan, and he will also hold a Summer Intensive this August.  This autumn marks the launch of the Tom Todoroff Studio’s Two-Year Conservatory in New York City.   His former and current students and working associates include: Liam Neeson, Harrison Ford, Peter O’Toole, Robert Wagner, Brendan Gleeson, Bob Hoskins, Claire Danes, Samuel L. Jackson, Tony Goldwyn, Stella Adler, Jacqueline Bisset, Nell Carter, Cicely Berry, Sasha Alexander, playwright Beth Henley and more.

With a faculty of prestigious artists from all theatrical and cinematic disciplines, including Alexander Payne, Cicely Berry, Austin Pendleton, Dar Williams, Daniel Lindsay, Kristin Chenoweth, among others. Todoroff says “this is an opportunity to take the best of my experiences and achievements and align these influences into one powerful program.”  The brand new facility near New York’s theater district will enhance Todoroff’s reach.  The first ensemble of actors to join the Todoroff Conservatory is being currently selected through auditions in the U.S. and Canada.
