Beacon musician Vickie Raabin will perform on Sunday, Feb. 24, at 3 p.m. at the Theo Ganz Gallery, 149 Main St. in Beacon. She will play some of her covers and original material influenced by jazz and blues. The event is free and open to the public.

Raabin is a singer/songwriter and music teacher for both individuals and groups (at Miss Vickie’s Music). She performs both as a solo artist and with her band, Executive Indecision. She has performed with Pete Seeger and Peter Yarrow and has played at most of the venues around town.

Some of Raabin’s most recent projects include last November’s inaugural Festival of First Peoples (with the Howland Center); the car show along Main Street; Music on the Squares; designating a Poet Laureate for Beacon, and so on. Right now she is starting a chess club at the Howland Center and was recently elected president of Sargent-Downing Gardens.
