On Wednesday (Aug. 13), the Garrison Volunteer Fire Company responded to a personal injury auto accident involving two cars near house address 406 Route 9D. One driver was trapped and needed extraction using the Jaws of Life. Philipstown Ambulance Corps and Peekskill Ambulance Corps responded. Peekskill transported in Medic 1. Continental Village Fire Department responded in mutual aid. Route 9D was closed in both directions until the vehicles were removed. State troopers and the Sheriff’s Department were also present.
