New asphalt going down through Aug. 28

The New York Department of Transportation plans to close one lane of Route 9D through Aug. 28 at various locations between Bear Mountain Bridge and Slocum Road in Fishkill, including Cold Spring and Philipstown, as crews put down new asphalt and perform other maintenance.

The closures are planned from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting. The flow of traffic will be controlled by flaggers, and drivers are asked to use caution.
