Event on June 25 will honor Margot Kingon

The Beacon Independent Film Fest will host a fundraiser, Arts Go 2016, at 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, at The CineHub, 20 W. Main St. The event, with food by The Beacon Bite and music spun by Mr. Chips, Vicki the Bruiser and Jon “The Mayor” Miles, will honor artist and film industry professional Margot Kingon. It will feature the premiere of short film about Kingon, Cascade, directed by Kate Phelan, and an exhibit of Kingon’s work.

Tickets are $18 at biffartsgo2016.bpt.me, or $20 at the door. This year’s film festival will take place September 16 to 18.
