RiverWinds Gallery

Annette Jaret’s Spirit Dancing opens from 5 to 8 p.m. The exhibition title refers to Jaret’s artistic journey with paint. It will be on view until June 4.

bau Gallery

In the main gallery, paintings by Russell Ritell will be on view in the Path of the Masters exhibit. Using inspiration drawn from using master painters, shamans and others, Ritell honors his teachers. In the Beacon Room, work by artist and crafter Kat Stoutenborough, Redacted: page, word and thread, will be on view. The art reflects the artists love of books, words, transformation, and hand stitching. The opening reception is from 6 to 9 p.m.

Matteawan Gallery

Greg Slick’s Fieldwork opens with a reception from 6 to 9 p.m. This is the artist’s third show at Matteawan and includes new paintings, sculpture and works on papers.  The work explores the overlap between art and archeology, looking at the future of aesthetic objects by understanding the past.

Bannerman Island Gallery

The former owners of the Hudson Valley of School of Art in Beacon return with an exhibition of new art and a reception from 5 to 7 p.m.  Susan Goetz and Robert Schneider will show new paintings. Goetz’s work includes still life and portraits and Schneider’s is landscapes.

Hudson Beach Glass

Pamela Garfield and Alison Palmer will exhibit prints and stoneware with a reception from 6 to 9 p.m. Garfield’s paintings and prints explore the sights, sounds and textures of the natural world.
