Film club to show civil-rights doc

Movies That Matter Beacon will screen the Oscar-nominated 2016 documentary I Am Not Your Negro, at First Presbyterian Church at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 23.

The film draws connections between the history of the civil-rights movement and Black Lives Matter. Narrated by Samuel L. Jackson, it is based in part on an unfinished book by James Baldwin. See
