Undefeated Stillwater team goes on to win title
The Haldane High School girls’ soccer team, in freezing weather and snow, fell to Stillwater, 4-0, in the state Class C semifinals on Nov. 10 at Cortland High School near Binghamton. Haldane finished 9-10-1 after winning the Section 1 and regional championships to reach the Final Four.
Stillwater went on to win the state championship on Nov. 11, defeating Little Falls, 5-0 and finishing 22-0-1.
