Dr. Cifarelli

Dr. Albert V. Cifarelli, 81, of New York City and Montauk, died Feb. 17, 2019, in Manhattan from complications related to lung cancer. As a child, he summered with family and friends in Cold Spring.

The son of Charles and Emily (Schiavo) Cifarelli, he was born in Corona and raised in Jackson Heights. He graduated in 1964 from the New York University College of Dentistry and practiced in Flushing for more than 50 years. He also was an avid sculptor and spent time during his college years working at Roman Bronze Works Foundry. His later passion and avocation was antiquing.

He is survived by his wife, Francine, his father-in-law, Francois Le Coz, and three children: Charles, Karen and Lucia Kegel-Konietzko. He is also survived by four grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Feb. 23 at Holy Family RC Church in Fresh Meadows.
