Haldane High School has named Steve Schweikhart as its varsity girls’ soccer coach. Schweikhart, a former boys’ and girls’ coach at the school, succeeds Eddie Crowe, who led the Blue Devils to Class C sectional and regional titles last fall.
The school also hired Mary Callaghan and Cali Schweikhart, two Haldane graduates who were members of the 2013 squad that went to the state finals, as assistants. The team’s home opener is Sept. 11 against Briarcliff.
